Cookies Policy
How we use cookies and local storage for session management and Obsidian-Gold UI preferences in ViViDio Connect.
This Cookies Policy explains how ViViDio Connect (a product of ViViD App Studio, operated by ViViD Global Services) uses cookies and similar technologies in the Chrome Extension and Progressive Web Application (PWA). We are committed to data minimization and use only what is necessary for the operation and user experience of the Service.
1. What We Use
We use the following types of storage:
- Session management: Cookies or local storage entries that keep you signed in and maintain your session across page loads within the same browser or extension context.
- Functional preferences: Storage of your UI preferences, including theme settings for the Obsidian-Gold interface (e.g., dark/light mode, accent preferences) so that your choices persist across visits.
- Strictly necessary operation: Data required for the Chrome Extension or PWA to function correctly, such as authentication state and license/device-binding identifiers where applicable.
2. Types of Cookies and Storage
- Essential / Strictly necessary: Required for authentication, security, and core functionality. These cannot be disabled without affecting the ability to use the Service.
- Functional: Used to remember your preferences (e.g., Obsidian-Gold theme, language, or display options). Disabling these may reset your preferences on each visit.
- Local Storage / Session Storage: We may use browser local storage or session storage (rather than traditional cookies) for the same purposes where technically appropriate. This policy applies to such storage as well.
3. We Do Not Use
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies for behavioural advertising. We do not sell your data. Any analytics we collect is described in our Privacy Policy and is minimized to what is necessary for security and product improvement.
4. Duration
Session-related data may be cleared when you close the browser or extension. Preference cookies and local storage entries may persist until you clear them or until they expire according to our retention policy (typically aligned with your account lifecycle or as set in the application).
5. Your Choices
You can control or delete cookies and local storage via your browser or device settings. Disabling or clearing essential storage may prevent you from using the Service. For preference-related storage, you may clear it at any time; the Service will revert to default settings.
6. Updates
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
7. Contact
